Accommodation

All international students at University West will have accommodation arranged for them on arrival if requested.
The accommodation offered is either a room in an apartment that you share with one or two other students, or a single room in a corridor. The apartments are located at Lantmannavägen, a 25-minute walk from the university and the city center of Trollhättan. You will have a fully furnished room of your own but will share a kitchen and a living room with other students. The single rooms are located at Swedenborg Center at Lasarettsvägen, a 15-minute walk from the university. The room is furnished and equipped with a kitchenette. Each corridor has a kitchen and a common room with TV.

Rent and deposit

The rent for the different rooms varies between appr 2 300 and 3 938 SEK per month, depending on the size and location. You will have to pay a deposit that you will get back when you move, if the apartment is cleaned in a proper way. The deposit is 1 000 SEK/Lasarettsvägen and 2 000 SEK/Lantmannavägen. Please note that you need a bank account in your home country in your own name in order for Eidar to refund your deposit when you have cancelled the accommodation.

Pillow, blanket and sheets

If you don't bring your own pillow and blanket you can buy them for 300 SEK. However, please note that you need to bring your own sheets and towels. The normal format of pillows and blankets in Sweden is 50X60 and 150X200 cm.

After you have received your letter of acceptance you should send us your Request for Accommodation (see Links & Downloads) before set deadline - otherwise we cannot guarantee it. Deadlines are specified on the form. Please read the text on the form carefully.
