Artificial Intelligence (AI), especially generative AI, is transforming industries and societies across the globe. From healthcare and finance to education and manufacturing, AI is reshaping how organizations operate and innovate. However, successful implementation of AI requires more than technical expertise—it demands strategic leadership, ethical awareness, and a deep understanding of organizational processes.

The AI Management programme is designed to meet this urgent need. It equips students to lead AI-driven change responsibly, bridging the gap between technology and business. With a strong foundation in information systems, organizational strategy, and ethical AI, graduates will be prepared to guide organizations through digital transformation and contribute to a more sustainable and inclusive society.

This international bachelor’s programme (180 ECTS) focuses on the strategic application and management of AI in organizational contexts. Delivered entirely in English and based on campus in Trollhättan, Sweden, the programme combines theory and practice through University West’s signature pedagogical approach: Work-Integrated Learning (WIL). WIL fosters learning through the integration of theoretical knowledge and practical experience, derived from both higher education and the work environment.

Graduates will be prepared for a wide range of roles in both public and private sectors, including:

• AI Project Manager/Coordinator: Responsible for leading AI projects from start to finish and ensuring that technical solutions meet business needs.
• AI Ethics Officer: Ensures that AI initiatives comply with laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines, and that they are implemented responsibly in a way that promotes sustainable development.
• Data Science Manager: Leads teams of data scientists and ensures that AI projects deliver value to the organization.
• AI Operations Manager: Responsible for the daily operation of AI systems and ensuring that they function efficiently and reliably.
• AI Translator / AI Communicator / AI Interpreter / Hybrid Intelligence Facilitator: Acts as a bridge between technical AI experts and organizational decision-makers by translating complex AI solutions into understandable business value—and vice versa.

These roles require not only technical understanding but also the ability to lead change, communicate across disciplines, and ensure ethical and sustainable AI use.
