Every year, University West offers a limited number of scholarships to fee-paying master’s students. The scholarship covers 15% of the tuition fee and is awarded based on academic excellence.
Eligibility criteria
§ Citizens of a country outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland who pay tuition fees
§ Admitted to an on-campus master’s programme at University West
§ Motivation letter submitted with programme application
§ The application fee and supporting documents received before the deadline
§ The scholarship is only available for on-campus programmes. The scholarship is not available for distance learning programmes
Awarding procedure
The scholarship committee is overall responsible for the principles of the scholarships and decides every year on how to distribute the funds available, the structure of the scholarships and which students will be awarded.
The departments/faculties rank applicants based on the criteria listed below and present their choices to the scholarship committee. The committee makes the final decision.

§ Applicant's priority of the programme in the national application round
§ Relevant projects, internships, international exposure and work experience
§ A decision made by the scholarship committee is not open for appeal.
Application procedure
Students applying for a master’s programme starting autumn 2027 can apply for a University West scholarship from 1 November 2026 to 15 January 2027.
You can apply for a scholarship by filling out the online application form and uploading your CV.
Scholarship applicants will be notified about the scholarship committee’s decision on 1 April 2027 at the latest.
A decision made by the scholarship committee is not open for appeal.
Scholarship amount
The University West scholarship covers 15% of the tuition fee. The scholarship does not cover living expenses or other costs.
