Driving the Future: Clinton Noronha’s Experience at University West
Clinton Noronha, originally from India and raised in Dubai, UAE, pursued a Master’s in Electromechanical Vehicle Engineering at University West. He chose this program because it aligned perfectly with his career goals in the electric vehicle (EV) industry.
Clinton has always been passionate about automobiles, and after seven years of work experience, he noticed the industry’s shift towards electric vehicles. This motivated him to stay ahead in this rapidly evolving field.
An Enriching Experience at University West
Overall, Clinton’s experience in Sweden and at University West was enriching. He found the campus welcoming with plenty of activities for international students.Living in Sweden was a positive experience for Clinton. He had always considered Sweden for its excellent work-life balance and high standard of living, and his experience confirmed these qualities. One cultural aspect that pleasantly surprised him was the concept of fika, which promotes relaxation and socializing.
In his free time, Clinton enjoyed reading, working out at the gym, and exploring the beautiful Swedish nature.
Current Endeavors and Future Aspirations
Currently, he is working on a project with Scania through AVL, finding the field full of opportunities to learn. His long-term goal is to continue growing within the EV industry, expanding his knowledge and expertise.
For prospective students, Clinton has some valuable advice: “The EV industry is the future. The shift from combustion engines to electric powertrains is undeniable.”
He strongly recommends the programme for those aiming to transition into the EV industry and emphasizes the importance of staying curious and continuously learning.
