This course package of 30 ECTS is offered at research institute production technology centre, which as a subsidiary of University West specialising at study of multiple key manufacturing processes. This course package is designed with the idea of preparing students at advanced level for engineering and research tasks in the field of manufacturing engineering. The courses in this package cover manufacturing processes such as machining, forming and welding. Effects of joining methods on materials are discussed in an independent course. This package also covers statistical process control methods and design of experiments that are vital for manufacturing engineers.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Degree of Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, materials science and engineering or equivalent. The Bachelor of Science degree must be comprised of a at least 7.5 HE credits of materials science and at least 15 credits of mathematics including basic knowledge of analysis, linear algebra and statistics as well as the course AMT601, Advanced Material Science or equivalent. In addition, verified knowledge of English corresponding to the course English B, English 6 in the Swedish high school or equivalent
