The course covers modern control systems, their functions, and development trends. It applies structured programming according to IEC 61131-3-2013 and systems thinking for control system in network . Principles for SCADA and MES systems are covered.

Practical skills are developed through the configuration and commissioning of PLCs, servo systems, and fieldbus systems, as well as conducting risk analyses and integrating them into the programming of safety systems.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Degree of Bachelor of Science in computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or industrial engineering and management. Additionally, the Bachelor of Science degree must be comprised of a minimum of 5 HE credits in programming and 15 HE credits in mathematics. Verified knowledge of English corresponding to the course English 6 or English level 2 in the Swedish Upper Secondary School (high school) or equivalent.

You also need approved result from the following course/courses: RBK600 Robot Certificate or the equivalent.
