Materials Science and Engineering, 7.5 hp
The course covers the most common metallic, polymeric, and ceramic materials, providing insight and knowledge in material selection as well as sustainability aspects. The starting point is the mechanical properties, which are defined at the beginning of the course, followed by a more detailed discussion of the structure and influence of the material's microstructure.
