Simulation of Automated Production, 3 hp
This course focuses on the simulation of logistics flows within production, where we apply discrete event simulation. The course aims at increasing the understanding of how to improve production flows applying simulation to investigate and solve logistics problems. Throughout the course you will build simulation models simultaneously as studying related theory. The course consists of lectures, seminars and virtual modelling exercises, where we build simulation models of logistics and production flows. The area of production simulation is attracting more interest as the development of technologies for industry 4.0 are moving forward.
