This course is designed as a research internship where the doctoral student is given an opportunity to immerse themselves in conducting collaborative applied research in an international environment, as well as selecting suitable cases and methods that are relevant to the overall doctoral thesis work.

The research internship is planned and carried out in close collaboration between the international host, the doctoral student and the supervisor(s). In order to facilitate financial and structural conditions, the international research internship collaboration is primarily carried out within the framework of the STARS EU alliance.

The course emphasises how research processes can be developed and implemented through international collaboration. Hence, during the course, the doctoral student will evaluate how international collaboration influence both current and potential future international research collaboration opportunities.
