Introduction to Philosophy of Technology, 7.5 hp
The course is for doctoral students and covers areas, traditions, concepts, perspectives, and applications within the philosophy of technology that are relevant for developing a critical understanding of the link between technology, the individual, society, and the life-world. The course content thus addresses both analytical, phenomenological, and critical philosophy of technology, as well as central technology philosophers/philosophies, philosophical problems and concepts related to the essence of technology, and philosophical perspectives on technical knowledge and technical concepts. Critical evaluations and ethical perspectives on technology in use and media will also form part of the course content. The course is provided in cooperation with University West.
