This international interdisciplinary blended intensive program (BIP) course provides PhD students with knowledge and competence to promote their own strategic career planning through the span of working life, to promote skills of career planning related to work inside and outside of academia, and in innovative entrepreneurship. Those skills are essential in learning how to handle career transitions and matching of skills in the current changes in the academic labour market. Both core concepts and emergent views on WIL in PhD education and how WIL can promote career transitions and employability will be explored during the course.

An interactive pedagogical approach is applied.

The course is given in English and runs blended part-time week 36-44

Week 36: Online course introduction 31 August

Week 37: Online seminar 8 September
Week 38 : On-campus seminars and study visits at University West Trollhättan 14-18 September
Week 41 : Online seminar 6 October
Week 43: Online seminar day 23 October (examination seminar)

All seminars are compulsory and will offer further possibilities for active networking and shared learning.
