Step by Step Process

Apply for accommodation through our application link. You will recieve the link via email from accommodation@hv.se. If you have not recieved an email by the end of April, contact us.

• Autumn Application opens up mid-April and the deadline to apply for accommodation is June 2nd.
• Spring Application opens up mid-October and the deadline to apply for accommodation is November 28th.

You should receive an automatic response after submitting your application, if not please contact accommodation@hv.se.

Accommodation offers will only be sent to students who do not need a residence permit (EU/EEA citizens) and students who have received their residence permit card (not just the decision!).

• For the autumn intake, offers will begin being sent out a week after the accommodation deadline. No offers will be sent out during July, but they will resume being sent out the beginning of August.
• For the spring intake, offers will begin being sent out the second of December.

If you want to accept the offer you must accept it within 2 working days, or you are at risk of being put on the waitlist, which does not guarantee you an accommodation spot.

If you are worried that you should have received an offer from us, but you have not, you can always contact us at accommodation@hv.se to check on your offer status.

1. Have you signed your contract?
2. Have you paid your rent?
3. Do you know if your accommodation is furnished?
   • If not, you can sign up here for an air mattress to help get you settled in. You must register before said deadline (link will be sent to you via email).
4. Will you be arriving during our opening hours (Same as Service Center)?
   • If not, have you emailed accommodation@hv.se (2 working days prior) with the time you need key pick up services?
5. Do you know how to get to your accommodation?
   • Västtrafik, public transportation
   • Trollhättan Taxi (information in Swedish)

When you arrive to Trollhättan, here are some options of how to pick up your keys and apartment essentials. 

If you arrive on our Arrival Days (August 25th-26th)...

1. If you arrive  on the 25th you can pick up your keys, pillow, and blanket from I109 (map of campus), between 10:00-20:00.
2. If you arrive on the 26th you can pick up your keys, pillow, and blanket from I109, between 10:00-16:00.

Our Arrival Day dates for both the autumn and spring will be updated shortly.

If you don't arrive on our Arrival Days...  

You can pick up your keys and pillow, and blanket in one of three ways.

1. Pick up your keys during the Introduction Days, from I109 (map of campus), between 8:30-16:30.
2. If you arrive after both Arrival Days and Introducion Days, you can pick up your keys at the Service Center, between 8:30-16:30.
3. If you arrive outside of the times and dates above, you must tell us 2 working days prior at accommodation@hv.se. Then we will pair you with a student ambassador who will meet you with your keys at either the university or the Trollhättan Train Station.

Apartment essentials

As a new international student you have access to a free pillow and blanket. 

If your accomodation is non-furnished, you can sign up for an air mattress and airpump (link will be sent to you via email).

Students should contact their landlords on the key drop off and moving out processes.

Cleaning before leaving the apartment is mandatory. If not done you can face around a 2500kr-4000kr fine depending on the state of the apartment.
