Courses
Teaching and Learning in Higher Education 1
Basic Course, Certificate course (PIL101).
Available to all english speaking teachers at HV. This course will give you basic knowledge in Teaching & Learning in Higher Education.In case you choose to work at another University in the future (for example GU), they will require you to complete your education (with courses like PIL102 & PIL103).
Supervision in Postgraduate Programmes
Certificate course (PIL201).
Available to only senior lecturers/Ph.D. This course is a requirement for associate professor qualifications.
Certificate vs Credit?
On 1 January 2021, the PIL Unit's credit courses will be replaced by certification courses. Apart from the course codes, the new courses have the same names as the old ones. They also have the same content and basic structure. Read more about the change to certificate courses.
