How we interact

Collaboration is key part in the University West Education and Research, and is realized by the profile Work Integrated Learning, WIL.

Interaction with partners outside the university is on the basis of shared responsibility and commitment for increased utilization, shorter innovation cycles and increased social relevance. Cooperation with the surrounding community is for University West both an academic interest and the public interest. Systematic work structures and working methods for collaboration provides good conditions for long-term sustainable relationships that strengthens and develops over time.

AIL platforms: Models for collaboration-

It is a transboundary arena for co-production of knowledge and skills
which students, researchers and work come together in a common physical or
virtual enviroment.
For some years now operates University West, along with several partners AIL
platforms at Production Technology Centre, PTC, and Fyrbodals Health Academy.
A new arena between University West and the 14 municipalities in the subregion Fyrbodal- Municipal Academy West is also currently under development.

Working life in educational programs

University West works with a variety of practical models that aim to increase interaction and cooperation with working life. This is done through various forms of work-integrated learning, such as

  • Studentprojekt (t.ex. projektarbete och examensarbete)Uppdragsutbildning

 Collaboration through Research

We have many teachers who actively runs and participates in research projects. We want that all research with us must be applied and lead to development and change, both for internal and external participants and partners. Virtually all our research therefore takes place in cooperation with working life.
