Graduation Celebration in June expand_more
Graduation Ceremony in Albertsalen – June 2026
This information applies to all students participating in the graduation ceremony in Albertsalen in June 2026.
Tickets must be collected by the student who will participate in the ceremony. Each student is responsible for collecting and managing tickets for themselves and their guests. Tickets cannot be collected by anyone else on behalf of a student. Please bring some form of valid identification.
Ticket Collection – Weeks 22–23
Tickets can be collected during weeks 22–23, Monday to Friday, between 11:00–13:00 at the Service Center.
Please select “Graduation Ceremony” in the queue system. Note: Tickets cannot be collected at the Service Center outside of these specified times.
Ticket Collection on Ceremony Days (June 4–5)
If you are unable to collect your tickets earlier, you may collect them at the designated location outside Albertsalen during the ceremony days:
June 4: 09:00–15:00
June 5: 08:00–15:00
Please arrive well in advance to avoid long queues and make sure to collect your tickets at least 30 minutes before the ceremony starts if you cannot arrive earlier. No tickets will be forfeited.
Number of Tickets and Guests
Each student is entitled to 2 guest tickets.
In total, 3 tickets can be collected:
1 ticket for the student
2 tickets for guests
The age of the guest does not matter; the number of attendees is what counts. Due to fire safety regulations and the venue’s capacity, these rules must be followed.
If a student wishes to give their guest tickets to another student who needs additional guest tickets, this is allowed. However, each student may only collect a maximum of 3 tickets in total.
Additional Guests
If you wish to invite more guests than the number of tickets allocated, there will be a queue outside Albertsalen for guests without tickets.
Approximately 5–10 minutes before the ceremony, additional guests may be admitted if there are empty seats available in the hall. Entry is not guaranteed and depends on seat availability.
If the hall is full, guests without tickets can still follow the ceremony via a live digital broadcast on campus at a designated location, and then join the celebration afterward in Ljusgården, where we gather for the post-ceremony mingle.

Students gather outside the Albert Hall by corridor J, no later than 15 minutes before the ceremony begins.
The students will enter together in a procession into the Albert Hall, where the audience will already be seated. During the ceremony, we will enjoy a formal program featuring speeches and musical performances.
After the ceremony, University West invites you to a short mingle outside the Albert Hall with light refreshments, a photo wall, and the opportunity to celebrate further with your loved ones.
This event is meant to honor and celebrate all the hard work students have put into their master’s studies at University West. Participation is open to all master’s students, regardless of whether you graduate now or a little later.

About Jewelry Artist Helle Rasmussen Theliander
Helle was born in Denmark and moved to Sweden at the age of six. She grew up in Trollhättan and Vänersborg, trained as an electromechanic, and worked for many years at SAAB Automobile in Trollhättan. With this industrial background as an important experience, she eventually transitioned to an artistic career and studied jewelry art at the University of Gothenburg, School of Design and Crafts.
She has established her own workshop at her home in southern Dalsland, where she creates jewelry, often through silver casting but also using other materials and techniques.
The branch motif, a recurring symbol in University West’s insignia, is something Helle feels particularly connected to. She has worked thematically with branch designs for a long time. The rings she now designs and produces for the university’s master’s students and doctoral graduates are both a familiar expression of her artistic style and a continuation of the university’s tradition. The branch as a central element in the rings represents the knowledge attained by the graduating master’s student or doctor. For doctoral graduates, the ring is also a sign of being “wedded to science.”
