Doktorshattar, lagerkransar och doktorsringar ligger på ett bord på Högskolan Väst.

University West has chosen the Tree of Knowledge as a central symbol for its insignia. The tree symbolizes growth, learning, and knowledge. Just as a tree grows and gets stronger over the years, it represents how knowledge and education are constantly evolving. The roots stand for a solid foundation in science and research, while the branches extend out and reflect the spreading of knowledge to the world. This symbolism is also linked to the idea of sustainability and collaboration, both in learning and in the development of society.

The insignia of University West are signs of academic dignity and the authority of the institution. They are used on ceremonial occasions, such as the inauguration of the Vice-Chancellor, professorial inaugurations and at academic ceremonies such as doctoral conferment ceremonies.
