Welcome to University West!

You need a user account for University West in order to, among other things, receive an email address and to use your computer and printers, as well as access the premises.

You must activate your user account, but you can only do this on your first day of employment. You can then activate your account via MittKonto by clicking “Create account”.

Your salary is paid through Danske Bank. If you have not received a salary from University West before, you must register your bank account, this applies even if you are already a customer of Danske Bank.

The easiest way to register is to use your BankID. Please, follow these two steps:

Step 1

• Register as a new payee with Danske bank via: https://lut.twoday.com/websalary/db/Register.aspx
• Fill in the information and state the university's customer number: 79164
• Click "Submit". (If you receive the message: "The following error has occurred: You are already registered with the specified employer", you can go ahead and log in according to step 2 below).

Step 2

• Log in to Danske bank with Bank-ID: https://lut.twoday.com/websalary/db/Logon.aspx
• Once you are logged in, click on "My Profile".
• Select "Add Account Information" under the "Account Details" heading.
• Enter your clearing number and account number and click "Save".
  Once the account is saved, you will see it under the heading "Account details" in your profile.

It is the trade unions Saco-S and OFR/S that sign collective agreements with the employer, University West.

SACO-S

If you are a member of a Saco-S union, you will also become a member of the Saco-S association at University West. Saco-S, academics in the state, is the umbrella organisation for 18 independent trade unions.

OFR/S

If you are a member of an OFR association, you as an employee also become a member of the OFR/S association at University West. OFR/S members are represented by the ST trade union at the university.

Collective agreements

As an employee at University West, you are covered by the government's Villkorsavtal/Villkorsavtal-T, which regulates salary, remuneration, working hours, holidays, leave and notice periods.

The agreement can be found on the Swedish Agency for Government Employers' website.

In addition to the terms and conditions agreement, your terms of employment are governed by locally agreed terms via local collective agreements.

Your introduction consists of several parts and takes place in different formats:

Local workplace introduction

You will receive a local workplace introduction that takes place in your department. This introduction will give you the knowledge you need to be able to perform your tasks and make it easier for you to get into the collegial community. The responsibility for the introduction lies with your immediate manager, or the person appointed by your manager.

Homepage and Staff Portal

You will find useful information and support both on our website and in the Staff Portal. We encourage you to explore the content to get a good insight into how the university works.

Digital introductory course

On our digital introductory course, we have gathered information and links that make it easier for you as a new employee to gain insight into the university's organization and business.

Welcome mingle for new employees

Twice a year (every autumn and spring), a welcome mingle is held for new employees who are permanently employed or have a long-term temporary employment. You will then meet the Vice-Chancellor and other members of the management team, make new contacts with colleagues from across the organisation and join a tour where you get to know more about the campus and our activities.

• Remote work: Technical and administrative staff can work up to 40% remotely, based on the needs and agreement of the business.
• Extra leave: Possibility to exchange one year's holiday supplement for three days off.

• Wellness half hour: Technical and administrative staff can set aside 30 min/week for physical activity.
