The main responsibility of the Committee for good research practice and ethics is to monitor and prepare the research ethics issues for the Research and Education Board at University West and through its proactive work, support a strong research ethics culture and working methods among the university's researchers, teachers and students. This includes:

  • monitor the research ethics issues, in terms of rules, legislation and other regulations
  • prepare issues for the Research and Education Board regarding research ethics cases (for example, produce guidelines and guiding documents, respond to official reports, carry out quality follow-up of research ethics aspects)
  • support the university's researchers, teachers and students in research ethics issues, through information on the university's website and, if necessary, by arranging seminars / workshops, with a special focus on research misconduct, good research practice and ethical review
  • in other ways, promote a strong research ethics culture and good research practice.
