Collaboration research at the Department of Social and Behavioural Studies
At University West, research is conducted with a strong connection to the surrounding society. At the Department of Social and Behavioural Studies, a large number of projects have been carried out in collaboration with schools, social services, and other organizations as well as non-profit associations.
About collaborative projects
Collaborative research involves conducting studies in close cooperation with external partners. The researcher and the external organization jointly formulate the research question to be studied, ensuring that both the organization and the academic environment can benefit from the generated results. It is important that the questions are designed to be of high scientific interest while also being highly relevant to the organization involved.
Many of the projects carried out focus on early interventions for children, adolescents, and their families, aiming to promote mental health and inclusion of children and youth, thereby contributing to long-term social sustainability.
