Educational Support and Development

Educational Support and Development is led by division head Lars Johansson.

The division includes functions that support both students and teachers at University West and acts as a hub for teachers' continuous pedagogical development.

At Akademus we gather all support for pedagogical development that higher education pedagogy, ICT pedagogues and media technicians offer. At Akademus you will find courses, workshops, seminars together with news, inspiration and bookable guidance with a focus on the development of pedagogical work.

The Language resource center is for any student or staff who needs to develop their ability to read and write academic texts and conducts individual tutoring as well as lecture sessions and group tutoring.

The department also manages the school's various educational systems such as Canvas, Zoom, HV-play, etc. and assists with professional media production support for the university's various events, both physical and digital.
