This year the competition to get a SI Scholarship was intense, with the Swedish Institute receiving over 8000 applications. Of the 357 international students receiving a scholarship for the academic year 2024/2025, 17 will study a masters program at University West, in Trollhättan, Sweden. Reflecting that the university's offerings are fit to educate future global leaders, committed to democracy, equality, and sustainability.

“This shows that we've got high-quality programs spanning a wide range of fields, including social sciences, informatics, AI, and engineering,” says Tomas Bengtsson, Director International Affairs at University West.

Recipients are selected based on their academic achievements, professional and leadership experiences, and their potential to contribute to sustainable development. When arriving to Trollhättan this fall, this years scholarship recipients bring much experience and many cultural perspectives to the university.

University West extends a big congratulations to this year's scholarship recipients.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to Sweden and Trollhättan at the end of August!” Tomas Bengtsson concludes.
