University West admits 91% more students to its master's programmes

University West admits 615 new international students to the autumn semester of 2022. This is an increase of 91% compared to last year and the second largest increase in all of Sweden.
The selection for University West's master's programmes has now been completed and the first students have received their admission notices.
615 new master's students have been accepted to start their studies at University West by the autumn of 2022. Last year, the equivalent figure was 322, which means an increase of 91% this year. With a record increase, University West ranks second for largest increase in the country.
- It feels great that we are starting to see results in our investment to become more international, says Tomas Bengtsson, Director International Affairs at University West. Work has now begun on guiding the admitted students so that they can prepare for their studies here in Trollhättan in the best possible way.
Nationally, the number of admissions has increased by 6.7%, writes the Swedish Council for Higher Education.
Many of University West's international master's programmes are still open for late application. Here you can see our programmes open for late application. This means that the final number of students admitted to the university is not yet known.
On April 14, the selection for the International Programme in Politics and Economics (IPPE) will be published.
