Beginning in 2017 and ending in 2027, University West has the status of a so-called KK environment – PRIMUS. One of the core research fields in this profiled initiative is Work Integrated Learning for industry, where we focus on knowledge about the transition taking place in the production industry. Our focus is related to digitalization and robotization, but foremost we are concerned with sustainable and climate neutral production.

I-WIL will form a bridge between the two complete environments. There are several interests within I-WIL that connect the environments’ core research fields.

Here we find social issues and research questions connected to sustainability, skill supply, leadership, community planning, and working environments, which can all be easily linked to the core research fields that were presented in the ten-year strategy plans for the environments.
