Transition, management, and digitalization
The focus of this thematic area is on the requirements, in terms of both qualifications and competencies, that digital development, increased demands for more sustainable production systems, and changing demographic conditions place on management, learning, and organizational change.
Swedish society is undergoing extensive structural changes driven by rapid digital development, the need for more sustainable production methods, and demographic changes. This creates new demands on how organizations are shaped and create sustainable work environments. The focus is on the new qualification and competency requirements that these changes entail for leadership, learning, and organizational development.
It is important to combine and compare these thematic challenges with other areas to address broader societal challenges in an interdisciplinary manner.
The research explores how increased digitalization and the complex use of digital technology affect organizations' opportunities for learning and production processes. It also examines how the demands on leadership, learning, and organizational change are influenced by these changes.
The research also contributes to the understanding of the global climate transition and its demands for green investments and sustainable work. It focuses on how organizations and production methods can be adapted to meet these new requirements.
Furthermore, the research investigates the growing need for skills supply and development in sectors such as healthcare, education, and industry. It studies the methods and strategies that society and companies use to meet the increasing demands for skills and education for people in the workforce.
