NetZero Engineer 5.0
NetZero Engineer 5.0 is a national effort that will strengthen Swedish industry's ability to implement the climate transition.
The project builds on the successful concept Ingenjör4.0, which has already reached over 1,100 individuals from more than 200 companies, and develops it further with a focus on Industry 5.0 – where sustainability, circularity and human–machine-interaction is central.
The project is implemented in broad collaboration between 13 universities within Svenska Produktionsakademien, industrial companies of various sizes, and employer and employee organizations. IUC Syd has a particularly important role in engaging small and medium-sized companies. This unique composition provides both academic excellence and a strong industrial anchor.
The expected deliverables of the project are a scalable and quality-assured education offering, a strengthened digital infrastructure for lifelong learning, and increased participation from small and medium-sized enterprises.
In this way, NetZero Engineer 5.0 delivers both short-term benefit for industry's competence needs and long-term system benefit through a robust national structure for continuing education – in line with Sweden's objective of net zero emissions and a competitive, sustainable industry.
