Assistant professor in Computer science – Algorithm
There is a clear need to strengthen knowledge in applied industrial algorithm design, as it is one of the key factors for increasing automation levels and achieving sustainable production in the manufacturing sector.
Algorithm design is a specialized skill required across a wide range of production industries, whether for optimally placing sensors or processing sensor data. Designing a secure distributed sensor network with edge computing, investigating sources of error, or developing AI algorithms for factory floor monitoring are just a few examples of the demand in this field. There is a clear need to strengthen knowledge in applied industrial algorithm design, as it is one of the key factors for increasing automation levels and achieving sustainable production in the manufacturing sector. Furthermore, there is a growing need for educators at University West in this area, particularly due to the introduction of new master's programs in AI and Automation, Cybersecurity, and Software Development.
