The aim is to clarify the influence of plate processing parameters, hot isostatic processing route and welding procedure on low-temperature phase separations, known as 475°Cembrittlement, in highly alloyed duplex stainless steels base material and welds. As a result, recommendations will be developed on how to avoid the embrittlement during materials processing.
The aim of this AVANS project named AMECO is to develop a 2-year Master's Programme in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering with Co-op education strategy. The programme is planned to start in Sept. 2018.
The HACK-IT education project aims to create a sustainable network of educational institutions that operate both online and IRL in countries and regions with different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
This project aims to increase the use of aluminum alloys using innovative laser welding tools, as well as to significantly reduce the costly pre-tests in the welding of alloys in the production development phase.
The project goal is to extend application of the EBM and SLM techniques to next materials and applications in gas turbine components.
Additive Manufacturing (AM) of functional components, including complex structures challenging to manufacture by conventional methods (material removal), is a reality in progress. AM with metal deposition has gained interest beyond aerospace applications, by using Laser and Arc welding processes as driving force.
