The project encompasses an eight-month-long pilot study exploring the possibilities and challenges of designing and extending Civic Orientation for newcomers in Sweden into an immersive learning experience in Virtual Reality (VR).
The purpose of this implementation project is to promote and contribute to effective integration and social inclusion of third-country nationals through the development of immersive (enhanced) civic orientation in Virtual Reality (VR).
Immersive Virtual Reality (IVR) technology provides pedagogical benefits for simulating realistic training purposes in a practical way, at a low risk/cost, and in a safe and sustainable manner.
The project builds on the insights of a previously conducted pilot study and continues the cooperation with the Swedish police to develop knowledge and digital practices for crime prevention.
