My research interest are in the area of computational modelling and simulations related to manufacturing processes/materials with a special focus on understanding process-microstructure-property relationships in attively manufactured (AM) metallic materials. The ultimate aim is to create a digital twin of a given AM process where one can simulate before printing and reveal the detailed description of the process-microstructure-property relationships. Then one can go backwards and tailor the process to get a targeted performance out of the printed parts. This not only saves considerable cost for the industry but also create an accelerated path to go into higher TRL levels.
