Research area/research interest

Lars Pejryd's main current area of research relates to metal cutting processes such as turning and milling.

The research involves, among other things, how heat is generated in metal cutting, and how it can be controlled effectively by cooling technology. Another field of study is how to reduce harmful vibrations during machining. The researchers also study how to effectively bring this expertise to the industry, including the use of mobile platforms such as iPhone and iPad.

Teaching/supervision

Lars supervises a number of doctoral students.
