I am a doctoral student in Production Technology at University West, specializing in real-time monitoring and AI-based defect detection in friction stir welding (FSW). My research focuses on machine-vision-driven segmentation of surface and subsurface defects using deep learning, with the goal of enabling closed-loop quality control in robotic manufacturing processes. I work with high-speed HDR cameras, infrared thermography, and advanced computer vision models to support intelligent and adaptive welding systems.
