Credit transfer
As a student at University West you have the right to apply for crediting of former education. If you have completed studies in Sweden or abroad that you consider correspond to a course or part of a course/ a course module at University West, you can apply for a credit transfer. Double degree students must apply for credit transfer of the previous courses from their home universities to have them included in the University West degree. If you have questions about how it works, you are welcome to contact the Degree office.
Apply in Ladok
You must be admitted to and pursue studies at the University West for the credit transfer to be assessed. You apply for the credit transfer in Ladok. Log in to your page at Ladok for students and follow the instructions.
If you are unable to log in to “Ladok for students”, please contact us at examen@hv.se and we will assist you in submitting an application for credit transfer.
In order for us to make an accurate assessment of your qualifications, please provide:
- The syllabus for the relevant cours
- The reading list
- Any other documents that verify the content and scope of the courses
The more information you can provide, the faster we can process your application.
Please note that if you submit your application by e-mail, all attachments and forms must be in PDF format.
Decision
The decision will be sent to the e-mail address registered in Ladok, unless you have informed us otherwise. If your application is granted, the credit transfer will be registered in Ladok.
Please note that it is not possible to use the same course several times to transfer credits to courses that shall be included in the same degree.
Regarding processing personal data
When you contact the Degree office we process your personal information, such as civic number, contact details or notes about previous studies. All data is processed according to the General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR.
