Scholarship structure, Erasmus+
The main ambition of Erasmus+ for higher education is to strengthen international cooperation between higher education institutions, promote mobility for students and staff, and improve the quality and attractiveness of education.
GRANT LEVELS FOR SHORT MOBILITY
As a student at University West, you have the opportunity to apply for participation in short-term mobility activities, so-called blended mobilities, with funding through the Erasmus+ programme.
The most common form is Blended Intensive Programme (BIP), which is a course organized by a partner university, and consists of a virtual component and a physical mobility component carried out on site at the host institution.
Information about which BIPs are offered and how to apply can be found at www.hv.se/BIP.
The grant structure and components
The scholarship consists of individual support (for living costs) and travel support, paid as fixed standard amounts.
Individual support: calculated per day for the duration of the physical part of your mobility, including travel days.
For example, if you are physically present at the partner university from Monday to Friday, this counts as 5 activity days. In addition, two travel days are added (one per journey, see below). In this case, you will receive funding for a total of 7 days.
Funding is granted as follows:
- Days 1–14: 79.00 EUR per day
- Days 15–30: 56.00 EUR per day
Travel support: Calculated based on the distance between the home and host institution. Two additional travel days are added to the individual support for travel (see example above).
For studies within the EU/EEA, the travel grant usually ranges between 309–395 EUR. The full table can be found below.
