Reading tutorial

During a tutorial in reading, we first talk about your reading. Then we try different reading strategies on a text.

The tutorial is one hour long. To book a reading tutorial, send an email to The Language Resource Centre.

Writing tutorial

During a writing tutorial we offer:

• a conversation about structure, style and language
• guidance on how to continue working with your language skills on your own
• tips and advice on how to plan your writing and your studies

We do not help with:

• proofreading or editing services
• advice on content

Each writing tutorial session is one hour long. You can book 14 days in advance at the earliest, and you can book a maximum of one tutorial every 14 days. You email your text in advance to the tutor, who reads a maximum of 2 pages.

How to book a tutorial

You can book an appointment for a writing tutorial on our booking page. Tutorials usually take place in Teams, or on campus. The available times are visible on the booking page 14 days in advance.

Before you get to the booking page, you may need to log in with your username (xxxx0000@student.hv.se) and the same password as for Canvas.

When you have made your appointment, you will receive a confirmation on the screen and a copy will be sent to the email address you have entered. There you can see which supervisor you will meet and which time you have chosen. In the confirmation email, you will also find the link to the digital meeting in Teams.
