Special issue: Innovation and Learning in Health and Welfare expand_more
The call concerns a special issue of the journal CIWIL focusing on research on the interaction between innovation and learning in health and welfare. Particular emphasis is placed on how this affects healthcare professionals’ working conditions, the life situations of patients and their relatives, as well as lifelong learning. The aim is to contribute to an equitable, person-centred, and sustainable healthcare system.
In a time of rapid technological and societal change, we seek projects that critically analyse how innovations—especially digital ones—affect the quality and organisation of healthcare, as well as the wellbeing of those involved. The research should generate new knowledge, support the development of innovative solutions, and contribute to policy and practice development within health and welfare.
Contributions are especially welcome that problematise the assumption that innovation automatically leads to improvement in health and welfare and the learning related to it. Instead, innovation and learning should be understood and explored as complex processes of social change with implications for equity, inclusion, and sustainability.
