Digital Technologies for Meaningful Practices is a focused research area that studies meaning, meaningfulness, in relation to digital technologies, work practices, and work-integrated learning. The area consists of researchers from the fields of Informatics, Work-integrated Learning Educational Psychology, and Pedagogies. Research in the area is conducted together with society, organizations, and institutions through collaboration and joint projects. The research projects and their output have both national and international merit. The area is currently led by Dr. Amir Haj-Bolouri.

The group arranges literature seminar series for colleagues at University West that are a part of the cluster group for Informatics, Media, and Design. The literature seminar series will focus a wide array of topics and themes from different research fields, including: Information Systems, Human-Computer Interaction, Education Psychology, Philosophy, and Work-integrated Learning. The literature seminar series will be held once a month in a hybrid mode.
The group arranges research seminar series for colleagues at University West that are a part of the cluster group for Informatics, Media, and Design. The research seminar series enable colleagues to present ideas and research that are discussed in the group. This can include a wide array of topics and themes from different research fields, including: Information Systems, Human-Computer Interaction, Education Psychology, Philosophy, and Work-integrated Learning.
