Forskningsområde/forskningsintresse

Min forskning är huvudsakligen inriktad på studier av livssituationen för patienter med långvariga sjukdomstillstånd. Jag disputerade 2003 med avhandlingen, "To be stricken with first-time myocardial infarction - From acute symptoms onset to early readjustment in women and men".

 

Därefter har jag fortsatt med forskning om trötthet (fatigue) och depression hos personer som haft hjärtinfarkt. Forskningen syftar till att ta reda på hur tröttheten upplevs utifrån ett hälsofrämjande perspektiv. Teorier om självtillit och sjukdomsföreställningar är viktiga utgångspunkter i studiet av, symtom, hälsobeteende och hälso-relaterad livskvalitet samt person-orienterat vårdande.

 

Nuvarande forskningsprojekt inriktas på digitalisering i vården med frågeställningen: Hur kan ett e-hälsaverktyg i kombination med sjuksköterskestöd främja hälsa och förebygga att fatigue förvärras efter hjärtinfarkt?
