Lars Svensson leder en forskargrupp som studerar lärande i arbetslivet och integrering av högre studier och arbete. Hans egen forskning handlar framför allt om IT-stöd för kompentensutveckling i arbetslivet.

Verksamhetsledare för forskargruppen Lärande i och för det nya arbetslivet, LINA, på Högskolan Väst och gästlektor på Högskolan i Halmstad samt på IT-fakulteten vid Göteborgs Universitet.
