Forskning och aktivitet

Jag är lektor i psykologi med en doktorsexamen i välfärd och socialvetenskap. Jag disputerade vid Jönköping University inom forskningsprogrammet LoRDIA (Longitudinal Research on Development in Adolescence) som genomförs vid Hälsohögskolan i Jönköping i samarbete med Göteborgs Universitet och som rör psykisk hälsa och tonårsutveckling. Fokus för avhandlingen var att undersöka vilken betydelse som kommunikationen mellan föräldrar och tonåringar, som en del av föräldrabarnrelationen, har för utveckling av ungdomars riskbeteenden.

Mina forskningsintressen rör sociala relationer och ungdomars psykosociala utveckling. Mer specifikt handlar min forskning om föräldrabarnrelationer och ungdomars psykiska hälsa och riskbeteenden, såsom kriminalitet och alkohol och drogbruk, samt ungdomars kompisrelationer, med särskilt fokus på sexuella trakasserier bland unga.

För närvarande arbetar jag med implementering och utvärdering av föräldraskapsstödsprogrammet Trygga Föräldrar och forskning om sociala relationer och ungdomars psykiska hälsa i tider av kris (se mer under projekt).

Jag är aktiv i olika forskningsmiljöer och grupper, bland annat BUV (Barn och ungdomsvetenskapliga forskningsmiljön) vid Högskolan Väst och APEC (Addiction Psychology: Experimental and Clinical research) vid Göteborgs Universitet. Jag är också medlem i SAD (Svenska föreningen för Alkohol och Drogforskning).

Undervisning/Handledning 

Jag undervisar i bland annat personlighetspsykologi, utvecklingspsykologi och barn och ungdomspsykologi på grundnivå, samt inom barn och ungdomsvetenskapliga magisterprogrammet.
