This course introduces cybersecurity risk analysis and assessment, as a foundation for cybersecurity protection mechanisms. Comprehensive cybersecurity assessment techniques are practiced to learn about means to protect industrial infrastructure assets. Cybersecurity management is emphasized through processes for assessing vulnerabilities and prioritizing remedial actions to reduce cyber risk.


Three years of higher education (Bachelor level) in engineering & technology (Bachelor degree corresponding to 180CP), including at least 2.5 CP credits in cybersecurity or equivalent. Alternatively relevant professional work experience.

Implementation and pedagogic concept

The course is based on University West’s concept of work integrated learning, which aims at integrating both theory and practice in education. Theoretical lectures are combined with case studies and practical examples.
