How to apply

You apply through an online system for mobility, which we also use for processing your application, documentation and other support services during the mobilityperiod. Below you find instructions on how to apply.

In the online application form, the details needed are divided into sections.

Please find each section listed below. Once you click on the section, you find information about what to enter there.

Once you have submitted the online form, you will get a confirmation e-mail containing a link through which you create your personal data account and upload remaining documents for the application:

Transcript of Records (studieintyg/resultatintyg). Downlowad from Ladok for students/Certificates - National result certificate
Documentation of Interational Commitments within student union or similar (not mandatory to upload)
Motivation letter

Once you have submitted your application, International Office will check your documentation so that all documentation needed is there and the reception of all documents are ok. It may take up until deadline or a few days after, before this step in the process will be marked as done by us.

Application details

Choose year and semester for your exchange period (the period you want to spend abroad for studies).

Personal data

Personal ID number: Fill in your personal number as specified in the form (YYMMDD-XXXX). You will need to enter this number later on in the process when you create your account, so make sure to put in the right digits.

All fields in this section are mandatory.

Your emergency contact

All fields in this section are mandatory, in case we need to get in contact with a family member. Relationship is not mandatory, but helpful in such a situation.

Information on your current studies

Faculty: This choice will filter the alternatives of exchange options you choose in next section. Choose which department your programme runs at:

Department School of Buisness, Economics and IT (EI)
Department of Engineering Sciences (IV)
Department of Social and Behavioural Sciences (IoS)
Department of Health Sciences (IH)

Högskolan Väst - institutioner

Programme studies at University West: Choose which programme you are currently studying at.

Level of study: Choose which level you are studying at.

Number of academic years completed: State in number how many years you have been studying at University West. If you have been studying at another university also, that should be included in the figure.

Planned studies abroad

This is where you choose which universities you want to apply for.

Please choose several options as we cannot guarantee that you would be accepted to your first option if you are eligible for exchange studies. There may be several students applying for the same exchange opportunity and we have limited number of seats for each, so make sure to set your priorities in the right order.
