Key aspects of welding operations and productivity management are covered, including welding networks, Lean production principles, and Total Quality Management as tools for systematic improvement and consistent quality.

Participants are introduced to welding investment calculations, with emphasis on planning, evaluating, and implementing productivity‑oriented investments. The course also addresses performance indicators relevant to welding production, along with effective shop‑floor layouts and material‑flow design.

Content is delivered primarily through flexible, web‑based learning with selected scheduled activities. The course is suitable for students and professionals seeking applied competence in welding productivity improvement to complement prior theoretical or industrial experience.

This course has been developed in collaboration with industry partners within the framework of one of our educational projects. The project aims to provide courses at advanced level to a mix of professionals and students to strengthen the Swedish industry's competitiveness.
