University West in Trollhättan is a young university with a strong focus on the student and learning. Our students work in close relation with teachers and researchers and the atmosphere is informal and dynamic. The profile of the university is Work Integrated Learning and we believe in education in collaboration with the working life.

Research on machining
Tomas Beno, Associate Professor of Industrial Production, does research on machining processes such as milling, turning and grinding. They are used by the manufacturing industry to remove material from an original piece until a desired shape and surface structure is reached.
