MATLAB is a computer program and a program language from the company MathWorks, which is mainly used for mathematical and technical calculations. The language is widely used by engineers and is taught in mathematics education at universities and colleges throughout Sweden.
At University West, MATLAB is used by the engineering programs, economics programs or others who wish to handle, manipulate or visualize data. In the computer rooms there is a license with all toolboxes (extensions) installed.

MATLAB may be installed by staff on a work computer or on a private computer. Follow the installation guide below!
Both staff and students install the program on their own via the guide below. A full installation uses about 28GB of storage. Contact MATHWORKS directly if the installation fails (www.mathworks.com).
