Exams off campus - specific courses

You also have the option to take the exam within two days before the regular exam date. It will then be a different version of the same exam.

On this page you find all information that you need on how to apply for taking an exam in another location.

Contact the university or study center where you wish to take your exam and provide them with date and time for the exam to confirm that they can accommodate you.

Basic requirement is invigilation and that only approved study aids will be used during the exam.

If you are entitled to study support during studies (Nais) you are responsible to verify with the accomodator if they can accommodate it during the exam.

The following  information is mailed to the examination coordinator at University West on email address tentamen@hv.se together with the information that you want to take the exam in another location:

• Your first and last name
• Personal security number (YYYY-MM-DD-XXXX)
• Your e-mail address
• Name of accomodator
• Name of the contact person for the accomodator
• E-mailaddress to the contact person for the accomodator
• Phone number to the contact person for the accomodator

The request for taking an exam with the accomodator has to be done before registering for the exam in Ladok for students.

Applying to University West for an exam in another location has to be done no later than two weeks before the exam date.

The student is responsible for any costs that might arise with an exam in another location.

Approved accomodators:

• Higher education institutions, Swedish authorities and local study centers
• The Church of Sweden, Swedish embassies and International Swedish schools that are approved as accomodator

We only approve study centers that are part of the NITUS network.

University West will contact the accomodator and arrange for the examination thesis to be sent to them. This will be sent a few days before the exam date.

If you are unable to attend the exam you need to cancel the arrangement with the accomodator and unregister for the exam in Ladok for students.

The accomodator will  send your written exam to the examination coordination at University West after the exam.

Keep in mind to start as early as possible since the process might take some time!
