Every year University West offers a limited number of scholarships to fee-paying master’s students. The scholarships are awarded based on academic excellence.
The University West scholarship covers 25 percent of the tuition fee. The recipients of these scholarships will have their tuition fee waived by 25% for the whole programme length, provided that the study results during the first semester and/ or the first year are satisfactory.

§ The scholarship is only available for on-campus programmes. The scholarship is not available for distance learning programmes
The scholarship committee is overall responsible for the principles of the scholarships and decides every year on how to distribute the funds available, the structure of the scholarships and which students will be awarded.
The departments/faculties rank applicants based on the criteria listed below and present their choices to the scholarship committee. The committee makes the final decision.

§ Relevant projects, internships, international exposure and work experience
§ A decision made by the scholarship committee is not open for appeal.
Information about the procedure for the academic year 2024 will be announced this fall.
Students applying for a master’s programme starting autumn 2023 can apply for a University West scholarship from 1 November 2022 to 1 February 2023.
You can apply for a scholarship by filling out the online application form and uploading your CV.
Scholarship applicants will be notified about the scholarship committee’s decision on 23 April 2023 at the latest.
A decision made by the scholarship committee is not open for appeal.

If your citizenship is in a country outside of the EU/EEA or Switzerland, you are required to pay tuition fees for university studies in Sweden. Here you'll find the fees for the academic year 2022/2023.
You can find the tuition fees for each of our programmes on the programme pages, which you find here. You will pay the tuition fee per semester.
EU/EEA and Swiss citizens do not pay tuition fees.

If the application is approved the refund will be made to the same bank account where the payment for tution fee came from in the first place.
