Creating change together. Three words that summarize who we are, as well as our why. It explains why we conduct research and education - what drives us and how we view our role in society. We believe that a university can make a real difference and help change the world. But only if we do it together with others.
This is how we see it
Everybody has the right to develop and reach their full potential. For their own sake as well as for society's. Our world is facing great challenges and in order to solve them we need everyone. From preschool teachers who educate our children to researchers who work across disciplines and research fields to save the environment.
But to meet the challenges of the future, we need new ways of thinking, cooperating and solving problems. That is why University West is willing to leave what is familiar and look for solutions where other universities do not.
Through the way we collaborate with business, the public sector and civil society, we open new doors to knowledge, even outside the walls of the university. With our pedagogical method Work-Integrated Learning we give our students the opportunity to access knowledge and skills found outside our classrooms and lecture halls.
And our focus on collaboration between different research fields gives doctoral students and researchers even better research opportunities.
Simply put, collaboration makes our education better and creates even greater impact for our research. Through collaboration, we can create new knowledge that can make a difference.
