What is HSS?

HSS stands for Högskola och Samhälle i Samverkan, which roughly translates to Universities and Society in Collaboration. It is organized every other year by Swedish universities.

The conference focuses on societal challenges and how institutions of higher learning and research can collaborate/co-create with industry, the public sector and civil society to tackle these challenges and work toward a sustainable future.

The conference is funded by the Knowledge Foundation (KK-stiftelsen), the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth (Tillväxtverket), and Sweden’s innovation agency Vinnova.
