The course “International perspectives on management control systems” focusses on national differences in design and use of management control systems. It deals with intended and unintended effects of individual control tools and how these tools form complete control systems. Thereafter it presents and problematizes how management control systems can be designed and used in different nation contexts with a specific interest in societal institutions and national culture.
