The course addresses all phases of the knowledge development process, i.e., acquisition, integration and application, both prior and during firm internationalisation. The course is designed in a way to help you learn:
  • How different types of knowledge can be obtained in home and host country environments;
  • Which learning mechanisms are available to internationalising firms;
  • How acquired knowledge should be integrated across home and host country environments to create competitive advantage;
  • How knowledge possessed by internationalising firms can be used in their decision-making related to their international expansion.
The course is examined via a course project performed in small groups and presented and discussed at a seminar.
